WHY ANDALUSIA

The Andalusian advantage: study smart, live better

Andalusia offers one of the most liveable lifestyle-to-cost balances in Europe. With over 300 days of annual sunshine, compact, walkable cities, vibrant local culture, and a living cost well below major European capitals, your budget stretches much further, giving you a noticeably higher quality of life throughout your studies. Granada is designed for easy student living.

Beyond financial value, studying in English, living in Spain, and developing authentic language skills alongside your degree give your CV and career a lifelong advantage in the global market.

Before you arrive

Visas, housing & travel

Our admissions team will help you navigate your arrival. We will ensure you know exactly what to prepare, when to apply, and what to expect.

Non-EU student visas

Required for stays over 90 days. Apply at your local Spanish consulate at least 3 months before departure.

EU/EEA citizens

No visa required. Simply register as a resident (Registro de Ciudadano de la Unión) after moving if staying over 90 days.

Health coverage

Mandatory for visa approval. EU students can use the EHIC, while non-EU students need comprehensive private coverage.

Accommodation

Choose from student residences, shared flats or homestays. We work in partnership with Kadora, a private hall of residence in Granada, and our campus team can advise you on neighbourhoods and help with bookings.

Travel & arrival

The closest airport is Granada Airport (GRX), about 20 minutes from the city centre by taxi, with a regular airport bus into town. Many students fly into Málaga Airport (AGP) instead, as it has far more international routes. From Málaga, direct buses run to Granada in around 90 minutes.

Please note

Take out of the box and place underneath the boxes. Visa regulations and immigration requirements may change. Always confirm specific requirements with your local Spanish consulate before travelling.
